An old Devlynn folklore tells us of a feud between brothers Dominic, and Tristan, for the love of one, Laleeta. A battle raged between the brothers for months, neither willing to let go of the prize. Some Devlynn's joined in, more brothers against brothers, father's against sons, as the war raged on. In the end, Dominic prevailed, the stronger and wiser of the brothers. His love for Laleeta was true and so was her's for him. Admitting defeat Tristan gave his blessings to his brother and new bride.

But alas this story does not have a happy end. Treachery and deceipt lie within. The night Dominic and Laleeta were married, Dominic left to prepare the carriage for their honeymoon. When he returned he found his beloved dead on the floor, his brother's knife pierced through her heart.

He ran from the room to his brother's quarters where he found him alone in his room watching the stars, when he asked how he could do such a thing Tristan seemed confused. Before he could explain Dominic stabbed Tristan with his own knife. Not being able to take the pain his heart felt at the deception of his brother and the loss of his bride, Dominic threw himself from his brother's tower window.

Thus the separation of brother's, friends and family. Filled with hate for the Devlynn's the Grimlynn's moved away and developed their own community, living a dark existance.... convinced that a Devlynn had indeed killed Laleeta and framed Tristan. It is said that a pure love will once again reunite these lost souls and bring peace to Laleeta, Dominic and Tristan.
